Paolo Longo is a partner in the Orlando office of Bichler & Longo, where he focuses his practice on workers’ compensation and personal injury claims for Florida’s first responders, including firefighters and law enforcement officers.
A native Floridian, Mr. Longo has spent more than 25 years representing injured workers, with a particular emphasis on first responder occupational injury and occupational disease claims, including cases arising under Florida’s Heart & Lung Bill (F.S. 112.181) and firefighter cancer presumption laws.
Mr. Longo regularly represents firefighters and police officers suffering from heart disease, hypertension, cancer, and other work-related conditions caused by cumulative exposure and line-of-duty stress. He also handles workers’ compensation claims, heart bill claims, and serious personal injury matters, including automobile and truck accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death.
Mr. Longo received his B.A. from the University of Alabama and his J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law. He is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Longo has published articles and lectured on Florida’s Heart & Lung Bill and first responder workers’ compensation benefits. He previously served as an adjunct professor at Valencia Community College.
Mr. Longo is bilingual (English and Spanish) and regularly represents members of Florida’s Hispanic community in workers’ compensation and personal injury claims.
Outside the office, Mr. Longo is the proud father of four and enjoys spending time with his family exploring Florida’s beaches.
